White corundum characteristics and uses:
White corundum is a high-grade refractory raw material. High-quality aluminum oxide powder is used as raw material and crystallized by electrofusion. It has high purity, good self-sharpening, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, stable thermal performance, slightly higher hardness than brown corundum, slightly lower toughness, small calorific value and high efficiency. White corundum is pure white, high purity, no impurities ; the hardness is larger than that of brown corundum, but the toughness is smaller than that of brown corundum, and the cutting ability is strong. The chemical properties are stable and do not react with acid and alkali ; the particles are dense, the particle size distribution is uniform, the single particle shape is consistent, and the cutting ability is strong, so the processing speed is fast and the quality is good.
In terms of use, it is not only an advanced abrasive, but also an advanced grinding and polishing material, or an advanced refractory material. The abrasive tools processed with it are suitable for grinding high carbon steel, high speed steel and various stainless steels.
