The unique advantages of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) with high thermal shock resistance​
Traditional thermal analysis pans have limitations: alumina pans react with metal oxides, platinum pans are expensive and catalyze reactions, and ceramic pans crack under rapid temperature changes. YSZ with high thermal shock resistance overcomes these flaws: its chemical inertness prevents reactions with organic/inorganic samples up to 1600°C, its thermal stability ensures no weight loss or decomposition of the pan itself, and its resistance to thermal cycling (–200°C to 1600°C) supports a wide range of thermal analysis applications.
