black carborundum high-temperature calcination deoxidizer special semiconductor material
Product name: black carborundum
Specification: 60#
The properties of black silicon carbide :
1. Silicon carbide, also known as carborundum. Among the non-oxide high-tech refractory materials such as C, N and B, silicon carbide is the most widely used and economical one. It can be called gold steel sand or refractory sand. Black silicon carbide has metallic luster and contains more than 95 % SiC. Its strength is higher than that of green silicon carbide, but its hardness is lower. It is mainly used for grinding cast iron and non-metallic materials.
2.The industrial preparation method of silicon carbide is to use high-quality quartz sand and petroleum coke in a resistance furnace. The refined silicon carbide blocks are made into products of various particle sizes by crushing, acid-base washing, magnetic separation and screening or water separation.
3.Black silicon carbide contains about 98.5 % SiC, and its toughness is higher than that of green silicon carbide. It is mostly used to process materials with low tensile strength. Silicon carbide has great hardness and excellent thermal conductivity. It is a semiconductor and can be oxidized at high temperature.
4. Due to the stable chemical properties, high thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient and good wear resistance, black silicon carbide has many other uses except for abrasives. The advanced refractory made of black silicon carbide has good thermal shock resistance, small volume, light weight, high strength and energy saving effect.
